Jetlakes Interview

“It’s a golden dream to live off your music alone. It’s idealistic but possible.”

Given the tyranny of English, one does not even consider that many bands have nothing to do with the UK (always so cool) or the United States (always so mainstream). And, as usual, Poplacara seeks the exception to every rule: Jetlakes.

We interview this Swiss pop-rock band, whose only name is a mix of English and French. Yet, it has nothing to do with “jet lag” but more with the Jet d’Eau in the highly touristic Léman Lake in Geneva.

This is their presentation, a word game arising curiosity, a local wink with global ambition. This album reveals its pop nature and their real influences –Oasis, Coldplay, AudioSlave, among others.
