In the 50s, countries like Mexico, Spain, Cuba, Argentina or Venezuela where the first receivers of the rising rock and roll. While Mexico had a long list of bands which achieved great popularity, the environmental conditions of Spain resulted in an insecure birth.
We listen now to José Luis Cano, brave pioneer who dared play true rock and roll in a country where it wasn't well looked upon. Born in Seville, he worked as a waiter in the American military base of Zaragoza when he started hearing the first rock and roll's, speaking English, playing the guitar in a self-taught way and feeling that 'music was inside me', as he himself confessed.
