The emergence of rock and roll succeeded in bringing to the light of day some Afro-American musicians who had been marginalized. The singles that appeared first were interpreted by black musicians who came with rhythm and blues experience.
Little Milton, a pioneer in rock and roll, was first discovered by Ike Turner when he was 18 and earned his living playing his music in different places. Turner got a contract for him with Sun Records and the musician could have some albums recorded. Later in 1955, he signed a contract with Chess Records, and he became the best artist of black music of the recording house.
